This is a very simply question. READ THE CARE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS from the specific MANUFACTURER of your new flooring.

I see all these T.V. commercials with products recommended to clean and care for “all types” of flooring. The problem is that many of the commercials and marketing for these well known products are MISLEADING, and can actually cause DAMAGE to your new flooring. In addition, the labels on the products themselves can also be very misleading.

Different flooring products and categories require different maintenance. Different Manufacturers require different products and maintenance procedures. Keep in mind it is the FLOORING MANUFACTURER that WARRANTS your FLOOR, so you need to follow their specific requirements to maintain your flooring and warranty. Try and file a claim for damages from one of the advertised maintenance product companies and see where that gets you!

Simply Google the specific Manufacturer or product to find the information you need. Using products advertised and marketed by companies other than the Manufacturer of your flooring can VOID YOUR WARRANTY. I observe damage from improper products and maintenance while performing inspections on a regular basis!
